MetrôRio's Pre-paid card can be purchased at all stations or ATM machines with a minimum initial charge of R$10-- it can then be refilled with any amount between R$5 and R$500. It can be used in every station in the system, as well as in the Subway Bus Lines (Metrô Na Superfície), Barra Express via Siqueira Campos and Jacarepaguá Express via Nova América/Del Castilho. |

Single Ride (Unitário)
Fare: R$ 3.50
The Single Ride card is valid on the day of purchase as well as for the next two days. Be careful not to miss the deadline: three days past the expiration, you can return it at any ticket booth of the subway for recycling and get R$ 1 back for the card. |

Metro Card + Subway Bus Lines (Metrô Na Superfície)
Fare: R$ 3.50
The ticket can be purchased on any station of the system or when boarding one of the Subway Bus Lines (Metrô Na Superfície). The bus lines travel to and from Siqueira Campos and Botafogo stations, both with final stops in Gávea. |

Metro Card + Express Integration (Integração Expressa)

The card can be purchased on any station. With it, you have 14 options for integration with express buses, all leaving from Botafogo, Cardeal Arcoverde, Largo do Machado, Estacio, São Francisco, Nova América/Del Castilho and Saens Peña stations. |
